Another place we love to visit is the Jurong Bird Park here in Singapore. There is such a wide variety of birds, many we’ve never seen before. My favorite is the shoebill also known as the whalehead. It is related to the stork. See if you can figure out which one it is. There were also several large birds, including the bald eagle, but they were hard to get pictures of because of the cages. David
We love the bird park. We spent a lot of time in the large cage with the parrots, they are so colorful. I never knew there could be so many different species. I’d love to have a backyard where they all would come. My favorites are the tanangers which are small but very colorful. The turqouise one is especially beautiful. Annie

I visited this park many years ago. They had a wonderful bird show as well.
I remember that it was soooo hot! We came across a vendor that was selling refrigerated green coconuts. He expertly sliced the top off the coconut and slipped a straw in it. I think it was the most refreshing drink I ever had!
